The 51st Annual Redskins Welcome Home Luncheon will be held on Friday, Aug. 24th at 11 a.m. at the JW Marriott Hotel in downtown Washington, D.C. This is a new location from last year’s event.
The Redskins Welcome Home Luncheon is the perfect way to celebrate the start of the Washington Redskins 2012 football season.
This is the only event where fans and corporate partners have the opportunity to mingle with the entire Redskins organization, including players, coaches and alumni. Last year, nearly 1,000 tickets were sold for this event.
In honor of the 80th anniversary of the Redskins franchise, the “10 for 80” greatest players, as voted on by the fans, will be introduced and celebrated at this year’s luncheon. Voting ends on July 29th, and the names will not be unveiled until the luncheon.
The event also includes exclusive silent and live auctions, door and raffle prizes, and the announcement of the 2011 Players of the Year and Community Service award recipients.
All proceeds from the event benefit the youth programs of the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation and Redskins Alumni Association.
